An Historic Evening for Mannleys Sales & Lettings and Samuel Wood
Mannleys Sales & Lettings and Samuel Wood recently marked a special moment as both teams came together for an informal get-to-know-you drinks evening.
It was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to meet new colleagues, put faces to names and begin building relationships across the two businesses as they become one wider team. The evening was full of conversation, laughter and a real sense of excitement for the future.
Bringing everyone together also highlighted the incredible depth of experience and expertise now shared across the combined company. From residential sales and lettings to property management, valuations, customer service and local market knowledge, the team brings together a broad range of skills that will continue to benefit clients across Shropshire and beyond.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the evening such a success. It was a proud moment for both Mannleys Sales & Lettings and Samuel Wood, and a positive step forward as we continue working together as one team.
We’re delighted to announce that Lydia Moore has been promoted to Assistant Manager at Mannleys Sales & Lettings! 🎉
Lydia has shown fantastic commitment, professionalism, and dedication to both our team and our clients, and this promotion is very well deserved.
Please join us in congratulating Lydia on her new role. We’re excited to see her continue to grow and make an even bigger impact within Mannleys.

Behind the Scenes at Our Wellington Office
We recently welcomed the team from Reech to our Wellington office for a new round of photography and filming as part of our ongoing work to refresh and improve our media presence.
The visit gave us the opportunity to capture updated team photos, office content and behind-the-scenes footage that better reflects who we are at Mannleys Sales & Lettings. As a local estate and lettings agency, it is important that our online presence feels professional, approachable and true to the service our clients experience when they visit or speak with us.
The new photos and videos will be used across our website, social media channels and future marketing materials, helping us showcase the team, our Wellington office and the personal approach we bring to sales and lettings across the local area.
A big thank you to Reech for their time, creativity and guidance throughout the session. We are looking forward to sharing the finished content soon.
Wellington Orbit Renovation Reaches Major Milestone
Wellington’s much-loved community cinema and arts venue, Wellington Orbit, has reached the halfway point in the second phase of its renovation project, bringing the town one step closer to a larger, more accessible cultural hub.
The works are focused on restoring and bringing the upper floors of the historic building at 1 Station Road back into use. Once complete, the space will provide flexible, inclusive areas designed for community activities, events and future cultural use. The project is expected to be completed in 2026.
This latest phase builds on Wellington Orbit’s long-running journey, which began in 2012 and saw the opening of its 63-seat ground-floor cinema and café in 2019. Funding secured by Telford & Wrekin Council in 2023 has helped support the purchase of the former bank building and the wider restoration works.
Recent progress includes essential roof repairs, replacement windows, improved insulation and noise reduction measures. Inside, new partitions, ceilings, mechanical and electrical installations, stairways, toilet blocks and a boardroom are all starting to take shape. A standout feature will be the studio space, where a vaulted ceiling is already revealing the potential for a wide range of future uses.
A new lift, supported by funding from the Veolia Environmental Trust, is also due to be installed, improving access throughout the building and helping ensure the venue can be enjoyed by the whole community.
For Wellington, the continued investment in the Orbit is another positive sign of the town’s regeneration and growing appeal. Projects like this not only protect important local buildings but also help increase footfall, support nearby businesses and strengthen the town’s cultural and leisure offering.
At Mannleys Sales & Lettings, we’re always pleased to see investment in local amenities that make our communities even better places to live, work and visit. The continued development of Wellington Orbit is a fantastic example of how heritage, culture and community can come together to support the future of the town.
